Oil fired boiler vs. gas fired boiler for residential heating?

I am currently building a victorian home roughly 2500 sq. ft. gas is readily available but I am torn whether to install a gas fired boiler system or an oil fired boiler system. Please respond with some pros and cons. thank you. Jeff
