What is the firing rate in Btuh and size of the liner. Double wall B-vent is best to use as a liner especially in very cold exposed chimneys. But a flexible single wall can be used. If you have a clay tile lining that is not huge, you may be in good shape. The risk is acidic condenation eating away the mortar at the top. Check it once a year.
