I hired a contractor to install a Bryant BW1 n.g. 80% boiler and also install a chimney liner. The boiler installation went fine but he was unable to get the double wall liner installed because it was to big for the flue. If an alternative liner cannot be found he assures me the tile flue is in good condition and the flue is of appropriate size. My understanding is that when upgrading its best to install a liner. Are my concerns unwarranted?
