Horizontal distance: ~2-3 feet
Vertical chimney height: ~20' 6" figured this way (Unit is in a basement of a single story 1960's Wisconsin ranch home): 5ft top of unit to floor joist, finished level is 8ft (will be going through a closet), 5'6" through attic space (roof is 4/12 pitch), another 2' feet above roof pitch to total 20' 6".
It is Natural Gas.
