I suspect the pressure setting is too high. Water falling down the one-pipe risers can be caught by steam rising through them if the cycle is too fast. The slugs of water are slammed around by the rising steam. If the steam can be made more gentle by reducing the pressure and the firing rate, the noise may stop. Tuning the system to a slower steaming rate can help enormously.
