I have this plastic tube connecting the hot water line with the cold water line at the top of the hot water heater, it has a tag that says "water sentry heater guard 101" that makes all kinds of squeeking noises when the hot water is turned on. Its a pulsating, continuos noise like it is taking pressure and releasing it, over and over again, like twp times a seconds. When I press the small button on the back, the noise stops, what does this plastic thing do, can I get rid of it. Can I lock the button down so it doesnt make any noise? Thank You
