I would add a solenoid valve in your small line from the pump to your nozzle with "delay open" it allows the fan to get airflow going good and it shuts off oil flow at shutdown as your oil pumps shutoff valve should be. It is something you can take to your new pump/burner if it is getting old. Air pulled into oil lines can cause a bit of after drip. The air expands in the nozzle line from heat and pushes oil in.
