I bought my home in 1992 as a HUD repo, when I got into the house the boiler died, so I had it replaced with central air and heat and had the hotwater baseboard heating system removed. Now I am selling my house and was told by the buyers home inspector that I had asbetos in the crawl space. The house was built in 1957, I donot know what type of system was in the house before the hotwater baseboard was put in. Could anyone tell me when they started putting hotwater baseboard heat in residential houses and what they wrapped the pipes with or if they did. There is cardboard looking stuff (which I do have an asbetos inspector already lined up) by the crawl space. Thanks for the help.
