and look in the free hot water heat lessons there. The pictures will help you identify which kind of system you have. When you have read some of the extensive (200 pages) of information, you will know many answers.

No, you can not attach radiators with one pipe into them below a main pipe. Gravity will keep the cold water at the bottom. Hot water does not go downward by itself. If the system is steam, the radiators will fill up with condensed water and not heat.
