there are not hard to procure replacements for at all. the manufacturer means nothing. an exact replacement is not needed. just another main vent of the same pipe thread size.
are you sure that it is not on the end of the steam line as it comes BACK around from the radiators. it should not be in front of radiators.these main vents just vent the air from the main pipes, they do it FAST and vent alot of cubic feet per minute. the radiator vents vent the radiator but slower so that a bunch of condensation doesnt form to quickly.and they should only be venting the radiators and the pipe leading to it, called a run outpipe.if the main vent doesnt work then the radiator vent tries to vent the main pipe also, usually with no sucess.
