Thank you for your responses. I have 2 questions:
1. If I have an air vent does this mean I have a one pipe system? When I look from the basement it looks like each rad has a big pipe to one side and a small pipe to the other side, but all rads have air valve.
2. You both referred to "main valves" (or was it vents?). Where do I find this thing and what does it look like?
