Boilers become less efficient as you remove burners and may run into chimney problems as the amount of heat for the diameter of the vent becomes less.

New Yorker, a division of Burnham makes an outdoor oil boiler that does not require a chimney. I have been using their boiler for 15 years with a gas burner, althought the same model uses an oil burner.

Another manufacturer, Axeman-Anderson 717-326-9114, makes an outdoor boiler that matches with their oil tank for a good-looking combination.
