I am looking for information on my boiler. Based on the info below, I wonder if anyone can tell me the approximate age and efficiency of the boiler. It still works, but I wonder whether it would be wise to replace it because it is inefficient. Here is what it says on it:

Series 1X
No. 3RB
Heating surface 177 sq. [inches?]
Net rating Mech. fired 720,000 BTU
Hand fired 600,000
It originally heated 9,000 square feet of floor space, but it is now heating about 7,500 square feet because four rooms are now on a forced air heating system.
Any information and advice on replacement models would be appreciated.
