You lost some boiler heating capacity in the conversion from oil to gas. The boiler is undersized if it is running all the time. It is time for a new, larger pool-heating boiler meant to burn gas efficiently. A separate house and domestic-water heating installation makes servicing easier.

Technical design skills are necessarily higher to combine house-heating, domestic hot water, and pool heating from one boiler; although recommendations by the chosen boiler manufacturer will give a more certain warrantee of performance. Manufacturers will design the complete equipment requirements for a plant of this size.

A move to Cabo San Lucas or other sunnier climes can solve the pool heating problem; but commuting is tiresome.
