I just purchased a home with a Pierce,Butler & Pierce boiler. It is some 80 yrs. old. It has been inspected and is in good operating condition. I am considering replacement but don't know where to begin. I have never been exposed to this type of heating before. The boiler is fueled by gas. Although it works fine, I knew going into the purchase that I planned to update. Where to begin? Average cost for a 2 story house? Any help?
