CLASS III BOILER LICENSE-Operate low and high pressure boilers, boiler water analysis; Preventive maintenance; maintain charts and logs; maintain communication as necessary with other operating departments. Changing from electric pump to steam turbine when needed.
PIPING & PLUMBING- Replacing piping and fixing plumbing, replacing valves (globe, gate,OS&Y) toilet parts, faucet repair.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM- Using EMCS to control heat in different parts of the facility. Controlling our chillers and pumps through the computer. Understanding the alarm system.
BOILER OVERHAUL & REPAIR-Install & lubricate bearings and maintain boiler feed water pumps, gate water pumps, ash handling systems. Soot blowers, adjusting chain and belts, replacing augers & gear boxes. Replacing pressure regulating valves, doing maintenance on all equipment associated with boiler proper operation.
FACILITY MAINTENANCE- Changing bulbs & ballasts, switches, plumbing, code alerts, penthouse PMбжs. Refrigeration and ice machines, blanket warmers, tube systems, fire panels and temperature controls for rooms. Work orders from professional personal.
EMPLOYMENT- currently working @ Greater Tacoma Convention Center as a HVAC Technician, Good Samaritan Hospital from 7/2006 to 10/2008 as Engineer 1. Intersate Brands Inc.-11/2004 to 12/2005 as operating maintenance engineer (plant closed). Simpson Timber Co. from May of 1998 to 11/2004 as class 1 Engineer. I also work @ JRA/Maple Lane School as a stationary Engineer 2 from 5/2003 to present as on-call engineer.
