economizer

We have two boilers which burn bunker C oil or natural gas. One boiler has an economizer. I'm thinking about using the remaining heat value in the flue gas after the economizer for heating process water or heating the feedwater for the other boiler. But I'm concerned about lowering the flue gas temperature too much and forming sulfuric acid. I believe this is a valid concern while burning bunker C oil, but what about natural gas? Thank you!
