: : We are replacing our old steam tankless boiler system. We are going for an oil-gas combination burner. The choice our plumbers gave us are a tankless 2 coild Weil Mclain 78 (1278, the largest) and HB Smith-GO-28A series. What's the opinion out there about these boilers and can anyone suggest any other dual system steam boiler?
: : Also, in addition to the coils, is it advisable to add a storage tank for hot water? Our building meauses 50X100 and is four stories, with 35 people living in it.
: : Thanks

we have had good luck with Burnham boilers fired with gordon piatt gas/oil burners, the boilers use cast iron push nipples as oposed to elastomer rings. have replaced many waterside and fireside gaskets on h b smith 28 seris boielrs

good luck
