Postion: Field Service Technician; HVAC
Location: Denver, Colorado
Job Description:
The position requires field service on commercial / industrial boiler and burner systems in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. This includes natural gas and fuel oil combustion testing, adjusting of the fuel / air ratio on various boilers and burners while using an electronic combustion analyzer. Strong electrical knowledge and experience a must.
Job Duties:
• Must have specific knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining industrial / commercial steam and hot water boilers, boiler room operation and auxiliary equipment.
• Responsible for retrofit and repair of boilers, burners, and accessories utilizing knowledge of steam and hot water theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.
• Familiar with all forms of flame safeguards, boiler room controls and safeties.
• Conduct calibration, repair and adjustment of associated controls.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications to customer’s equipment.
• Assist in installations and start-up of newly installed boilers and burners.
• Prepare for new equipment commissioning and repairs by examining equipment, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
• Regularly monitors and checks for proper operation of pressures and temperatures.
• Maintains and repairs controls for boilers.
• Ensures mechanical systems are running at peak efficiency by inspecting equipment for operating efficiency and safety standards.
• Ensures energy management and energy saving strategies are maintained and implemented properly and efficiently.
• Monitors and inspects projects and contract work to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and with national, state and local code requirements.

Job Requirements:
• 5 years of boiler experience: Hot Water & Steam
• High school diploma.
• Ability to work from electrical schematics, drawings, plans or specifications
• Possess hands on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (including boilers, motors, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems)
• Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs.
• Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, client, and customers.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Regional overnight travel – 10%-15%


Compensation: $60-80+K * dependent on work experience
