New opportunity for a Jr. HVAC Maintenance Mechanic at the Assistant/ Helper level to join our Operations and Maintenance Team based in Quantico, VA. Will perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC and related equipment under the direction of senior staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, commercial refrigeration, boilers, and boiler room related equipment
Conduct equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, and reporting
Assist with internal & external inspections, and preventative maintenance of boilers, burners, boiler rooms, chillers, HVAC and associated controls
Provide clear, accurate, customer-focused verbal & written communication
Deliver top quality service in a timely, efficient, & customer-focused manner
Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory safety, standards, practices, codes
Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Trade or Vocational HVAC Program education with CFC certification
Minimum 2 years HVAC trade experience and/or work exposure to electrical trade.
Ability to perform initial set-up of gas or LP natural draft and or direct vent furnace, heating equipment, water heater and/ or electric heat pump.
Familiarity with gauges, meters, chillers, distribution systems; water treatment chemistry, furnaces, condensing units, water heaters, gas lines, and pumps.
Ability to read and interpret system and equipment plans, specifications, manuals.
Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass DOT substance testing and/or security clearance investigation.
May require flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
