Supervisor, Facilities Mechanical Systems (MEP) Requires High School Diploma or GED and either successful completion of a recognized Stationary Engineering apprenticeship program, and/or documentation of steam plant training & operations as a Boiler Technician, or Machinist Mate while serving in the United States Navy. 5 years hands-on experience at the foreman level overseeing the operation, maintenance and repair of a central steam / chilled water plant in a medium sized healthcare, commercial or industrial setting. Incumbent shall possess at least one of the following: City of Wilmington, DE 3rd Class Stationary Engineer’s License, or Equal license issued by a recognized municipality or federal/state agency, or A valid marine engineer’s 3rd Assistant Engineer, Steam license, or achieved the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer from the United States Navy with documentation of steam boiler engineer training. MS Office Suite; Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; Computerized Building Automation Systems. Extensive knowledge in the operation, maintenance and repair of high and low pressure boilers and heating systems, chilled water systems within the context of a central power plant. Knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel maintenance and safety. Ability to read and comprehend technical engineering data, documents and specifications. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, sketches, and verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of management principles, practices and techniques to maximize staff performance. Ability to effectively communicate; establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers and management.
