STATIONARY ENGINEER

****NEW EXCITING FACILITY! OPENING FALL 2010****

Requires a High school graduate. 2 years of operation and maintenance experience in a high pressure plant. Minimum of Wilmington Fireman’s license or the ability to obtain said license within one year of employment. Basic computer skills. Proper use and care of tools. Possess current driver’s license. Strong knowledge of efficient central boiler and chiller water plant operations. Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain and repair the myriad of equipment that makes up the utility distribution systems of a modern medical center in compliance with federal, state and local guidelines as well as Bayhealth policies. This position involves a variety of skilled mechanical work requiring one to make a number of decisions, some that are complex in nature requiring a high degree of accuracy. Mechanical skills for equipment repairs, replacement, or installation are required for this position. Work independently or with others to accomplish tasks and will occasionally perform other duties as assigned. Due to insurance carrier requirements, all staff must be at least 21 years of age with a current Delaware class D drivers license with no more than 3 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
