Maintenance Technical Manager ENG#602
Energy Utilities / Power Plant

LOCATION:
Connecticut

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States
Green Card / Work Visa
Maintenance and/or technical knowledge of industrial operations in a central utility Power Plant. Knowledge of State, Federal and Local government regulations as they apply to power plant operations.
Ability to manage a variety of complex projects with conflicting priorities while controlling costs and assuring quality.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
The Maintenance/Technical Manager is responsible for providing and managing the overall maintenance and technical requirements across multiple units and multiple sites including short and long term business planning, maintenance budget development, oversight and adherence.

Provides leadership on overall site maintenance, outage and technical activities to assure reliable and safe and reliable power generation.

Responsible for managing a multi-disciplined workforce comprised of professional, technical and bargaining unit associates in the maintenance and technical aspects of non-nuclear generation equipment. Responsible for work schedules and daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsible for the calibration and storage of instrument test and measuring equipment and ensuring personnel are knowledgeable of and in compliance with the Operations Excellence model (OEM)and applicable Standards and Procedures.

Participate in station maintenance and outage department strategic planning initiatives. Aggressively support Streamlined Reliability Center Maintenance Program, Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance, root cause analysis (RCA)and equipment enhancements to lower operating and maintenance costs and meet reliability goals.
