Our client sells, installs, maintains, and services a wide variety of high quality industrial/commercial mechanical equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, filtration systems, and engineered systems. We are searching for an Account Manager who will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients in an assigned territory.
You will:
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain and/or expand sales of equipment, along with maintenance and service agreements within an assigned territory.
• Assume overall client account responsibility:
o Interface with the customer to understand the customer’s overall objectives and requirements.
o prepare and execute a plan for each account to identify what and how short- and long-term needs may be met.
o Contact customers on a regular basis to maintain account relationship, advise of new product and service offerings, and obtain feedback. Share details with customers on additional offerings to provide value added service.
• Prepare and conduct technical/product presentations and demonstrations. Provide feedback to management for future service and product enhancements.
• Participate in trade shows.
• Contribute to the quarterly and annual business forecasting by providing account trends and sharing future client needs.

You have:
• An aptitude for sales with a successful track record of at least 3 years selling mechanical equipment such as pumps, boilers, compressors, etc and/or maintenance/service contracts in an outside sales environment.
• Excellent technical and communications skills; the ability to quickly understand a wide variety of customer needs and how to present your solutions in a clear, accurate, feature/benefit manner.
• High energy, a passion for selling high quality equipment and services.
• The ability to work semi-independently; to organize your time and manage a geographic territory in order to maximize your effectiveness.
• A Bachelors Degree in an appropriate discipline is highly desirable, successful commensurate experience will be considered.
• A good working knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, order processing systems, and contact management systems.

This position is in VA and the base is 60-70k plus commission.
