: Our client is a world leader in the supply of power generation equipment and services. Area Construction Manager will support projects in and around the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas. : : SUMMARY: : Responsible for the construction services and support of power generating equipment, including all post-warranty construction services. Will provide support to Company sales personnel in selling replacement parts, new construction and maintenance services and projects as well as proactively seek, develop and implement initiatives to cost-effectively achieve goals and ensure utmost customer satisfaction. : : RESPONSIBILITIES: : Proposal development and execution of maintenance contracts within an assigned area. Project management, labor supervision, direct hire labor, planning, scheduling, tools and equipment, safety, labor relations, quality assurance and cost control. Projects range from $50K to $20M for modifications, repairs and maintenance on existing power generating equipment. On-site supervision, coordination, control, and/or technical support of construction, maintenance and repair operations on small contracts or assist in the overall direction of larger projects. : : QUALIFICATIONS: : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 12+ years of related experience within the power industry (coal fired boiler industry experience preferred), or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated related accomplishments. Full working knowledge of power plant construction and related equipment, and a high degree of technical, business, supervisory and labor relations expertise to cost-effectively manage a diverse staff and the most complex construction, maintenance and repair operations. Requires ability to act promptly, independently and decisively on major issues that typically impact sales, margins, and customer relations. Requires strong negotiating skills to function effectively among diverse groups. MUST have the legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. : Direct hire position in New Orleans, LA.
