: If you have good hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel driven generators and you’re ready to join the staff of a premiere sales and service organization, this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! : Our client has been in business for many decades and has earned the reputation for the highest quality, value, and excellent customer service. : We seek a Generator Supervisor to assume broad responsibilities in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing diesel driven generators. : You will: : • Diagnose and rebuild various makes of diesel engines. : • Direct daily shop activities of service department and assist with field activities as needed. : • Diagnose, retrofit, and or replace generator components including the control panel. : • Service and operate various makes of automatic transfer switches, paralleling gear, protective relays, and UPS systems. : • Provide technical support to apprentices, mechanics and technicians. : • Coordinate workload and job assignments with Field Service Dispatcher. : • Supervise the set-up of load bank testing of large high voltage engine generator sets. : • Assist in developing training schedules for both mechanics and apprentice mechanics. : • Work closely with factory engineering to obtain technical assistance and to document and report product problems. : • Assist in preparation of quotes for customers as required. : You have: : • In-depth knowledge and ability to diagnose and rebuild various makes of diesel engines. A gas engine background is a plus. : • The ability to diagnose, retrofit, and or replace any given component of a generator including the control panel. : • Experience servicing and operating various makes of automatic transfer switches. : • Some supervisory background and or equivalent education in management or business. : • A minimum of five or more years experience in the Power Generation industry on the service side. : • Knowledge in paralleling gear, protective relays, and UPS systems is a strong plus but not required. : : This is an excellent opportunity for a well qualified candidate to elevate their career to the big leagues.
