Position Overview

The position is responsible for providing oversight, guidance and training across our company on quality assurance and control. This includes, quality control and assurance systems across all manufacturing and construction sites, leadership for appropriate manufacturing certifications, vendor selection and certification, document control including all specifications, resolution of power system (the product) quality issues, corporate management-of-change, and continuous employee training. The position actively leads across all functions and departments to establish quality as a part of our corporate DNA. This position reports to a senior executive.

Responsibilities

-Lead the development of Global Quality Policies that assure consistent and compliant activities at operations sites worldwide
-Lead the hiring of strong functional quality experts to deploy quality assurance and control across the corporation
-Establish and implement quality measurement metrics driven by customers needs with clear tracking and corporate-wide communication methods
-Represent Quality Assurance and Control on all new product commercialization and teams
-Function as project leader/coordinator on critical projects defined within quality, business and manufacturing strategies
-Interact across all corporate functions coordinating resolution of product related issues, including product defects, sub-standard performance and the need for continuous product improvements
-Interact with worldwide manufacturing sites in resolving quality concerns related to regulatory compliance, product quality, component supply, customer service, or new product introduction
-Provide technical input and coordinate available quality resources across all sites
-Provide critical analyses and investigations as required by senior management and draft reports as required in support of quality and business strategies
-Direct the preparation of the Global Quality budget and monthly metrics and reports
-Communicate directly with international site managers and staff as needed to meet objectives

Qualifications

-B.S. degree (graduate degree preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Physics or Physical Chemistry
-Minimum 5 years experience in development and leadership of a global Quality organization fully functional across a public manufacturing company
-Track record of assembling high performance teams
-Familiarity with ISO standards and leadership to establish plant ISO certification
-Familiarity with international standards including CE mark
-Knowledge of quality management necessary to implement effective QA/QC projects in support of global introduction and management of complex renewable solar energy power plants
-Experience in managing a global quality assurance or control unit in support of commercial power generation a plus
-Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems, and manage the required constructive actions, including positive and timely communication, to achieve the desired goal
-Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background investigation (motor vehicle record, criminal, education and prior employment).
