This is a non-shift work position. Supervise and coordinate all work associated with the maintenance of plant mechanical systems. Provide direction, technical expertise and supervision to station associates and project teams. Help to develop and administer mechanical maintenance training programs for station personnel. Provide functional and technical direction to operating personnel on all station mechanical systems. Supervise bargaining unit associates in the safe and reliable repair of complex mechanical systems. Maintain and upgrade the systems required for mechanical operation of Mercer Generating Station, including auxiliary boilers. Develop and administer Preventive Maintenance Schedule/Program and Mechanical Maintenance Program/Records. Requires extensive experience in power plant mechanical systems. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls. Requires three years experience in the repairing and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. Specific experience required on utility boilers, turbines, and power plant auxiliary equipment. Must successfully pass the First Line Supervisor’s Test unless presently a First Line Supervisor who has continuously supervised manual or operating personnel for a minimum of twelve months. DESIRED:PC/LAN skills and a good understanding of SAP and other systems.
