Planner Analyst - Guadalupe

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Guadalupe Generating Station by providing outage work planning. The Planner Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and approving work request, developing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. Distributing schedules to the technicians, reviewing work order updates and closing work orders. Practical working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations required for safe work environment. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Receives all written and electronic operations work requests, verifies completeness of all entries, determines appropriate technician, issues work order, and closes work orders upon completion. Communicates with requester to determine total scope of work and priority of the work to be performed. Maintains status reporting of the work order until completion. Administers the preventative maintenance Task’s assigning and distributing the work orders to the appropriate technician, reviews scope and frequency of assignments with technicians, and makes changes where required. Identifies resources and materials required to execute the requested work. May verify the availability of those resources prior to scheduling the work or arranges for appropriate alternatives. Acts as a contact/liaison between O&M staff for the planning and scheduling of work performed by O&M site team. Generates and provides management reports on topics tracked such as, work order backlog, equipment repair history and cost, and emergency call outs. Estimate job requirements for preventative maintenance activities including number/type of O&M staff to be assigned and number of man-hours per task. Attends daily/weekly meetings, Plan of the Day, with facility management to develop daily, weekly, monthly schedules, reviews the status of scheduled work orders, and discusses new, incoming work orders. Submits shutdown required work orders to outage planning for scheduling. Utilizes computerized maintenance management system to manage work orders history and track job status and repair costs. Assists with coordination and recommendation of the use of outside services when outside labor is required to execute jobs. May identify opportunities to improve process, planning or performance through analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations. May review utilization and cost data to recommend corrective actions to reduce costs. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. SECONDARY DUTIES: Performs maintenance on select equipment as required. This is a dual roll with responsibilities for maintenance planning and technical equipment maintenance. Complete work orders for technical function area. I.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Etc. Fills in for the Maintenance Manager Performs maintenance activities within the functional area of qualifications supporting outage activities as required. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. REQUIREMENTS: Required three to five year's progressive experience in scheduling/planning activities and strong technical leadership roll. BS Degree in Engineering/Management is a plus. Knowledge of craft function areas for power generation, and engineering or comparable industry experience required. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for related fields is a plus. Must have excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills. Must have good organizational skills. Must have knowledge of scheduling software and utilization of PC based systems. PC skills, formal training in work management systems and processes. Must provide positive influence to the management team.
