Hudson Energy is seeking a Quality Service Manager in sunny Orlando, Florida.
The successful candidate must have 10 plus years experience with product and process control in a manufacturing environment. Power Industry or Aircraft Engine experience is a real plus. Experience in a machining/ coating processed desired.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain ISO 9001:2000 registration effort for the division
Creates/revises quality manuals, Service Center Business Unit quality plan, and quality procedures and forms
Effectively deploys Quality department manpower to assure all Service Center business segments are serviced and ensures proper Quality initiatives are in place and implemented
Assure identification, documentation and tracking of quality preventative measures and corrective actions
Organize/participate in internal and external quality audits, and ongoing ISO Registrar audits
Assure availability and implementation of the Quality System at all remote sites
Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and monitor the quality processes to ensure compliance to requirements and for continual improvement;
Represent Service Center in Quality Council meetings held by corporate QA Management. Identify and communicate critical quality issues and review audit results;
Responsible for the proper evaluation of new suppliers and for the implementation of supplier surveillance activities associated with project implementation
Has the authority to stop work when a critical nonconformance is not corrected to established criteria, and has authority /responsibility to remove suppliers from the Service Center Approved Supplier List when suppliers are negligent in meeting Service Center contractual Quality requirements
Coordinates establishment and implementation of the Service Center Metrics initiatives
Overnight travel (up to 20%). Travel would take place in North America.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
4 year degree from an accredited university
Three years in Quality Engineering / Quality Supervision or at least ten years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification by ASQ as a Quality Auditor or as Quality Manager is essential.
