UTILITY OPERATOR

Perform daily monitoring, repair, and preventive maintenance activities on critical systems and equipment; troubleshoots, installs, evaluates, and modernizes new and existing systems.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Conduct Testing: Test boiler water (Test for pH, Conduct testing, Test for phosphate , Know how to test sulfite). Test vessels and systems for leaks (Test for pressure, Conduct hydro test). Test conductivity of RO water (pharmaceutical waters) (Test pharmaceutical waters, Sample pharmaceutical waters). Test system alarms a Test reverse osmosis alarm system (Provide water for injection alarm testing, Test boiler alarm, Maintain knowledge of waste treatment alarms, Maintain knowledge of Thermal Sterilization Systems, Chemical Disinfection Systems and Continuous Feed Systems and alarm testing (Biokill systems)). Test filter integrity (Pre-test filters , Post-test filters). Test component functionality (Perform static and dynamic tests of pumps, agitators, seals, motors, flow control valves, etc.)

Provide Customer Service: Fulfill work order requests (Receive work order, Prioritize and schedule work, Perform the requested work, Follow up on the work you performed)

Perform Documentation: Perform daily equipment readings (Conduct readings of air compressors and air dryers, Monitor boiler readings, Take water treatment readings, Build management system readings and alarms). Perform all work according to SOPs and cGMPs. Use GMPs when working with all documentation (Ensure operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation is completed with accurate information)

Obtain and Maintain Permits: Obtain hot work permits (Perform a work assessment , Obtain required approvals). Obtain confined entry permits (Perform a work assessment, Perform air sampling, Obtain required approvals).

Comply with Regulations: Observe and comply with CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) (Learn which federal regulations apply to your job, tasks, and industry, Perform all jobs according to applicable federal regulations). Observe and comply with cGMPs (Learn the cGMPs that apply to your job, tasks, or industry, Perform all tasks according to cGMPs). Observe and follow all applicable SOPs (Follow all pertinent SOPs (may be more than one SOP per task))

Provide Technical Support: Assist in cause analysis (Perform root cause analysis, Gather and compile information, Perform failure analysis, Troubleshoot miscellaneous equipment and systems). Support plant engineering on projects (Help start-up of new equipment, Evaluate new processes and equipment, Fabricate and install new systems and equipment).

Perform/ Support Validation: Assist with the development and lead in the execution of validation documents for mechanical equipment (Assist with start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications)

Perform Systems and Equipment Maintenance: Perform root analysis of utility, process and HVAC related equipment/ systems (Use critical-thinking, brainstorming, and cause analysis methods, Use CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems)). Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on process systems (Use reliability-centered maintenance, Adhere to SOPs and cGMPs, Use CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems). Perform Preventive and Corrective maintenance of utility systems (Use reliability-centered maintenance, Follow SOPs and cGMPs, Use CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems). Perform component-level repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance (Use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) manuals, Use of reliability-centered maintenance practices, Follow SOPs and cGMPs, Use CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems). Maintain a working spare parts inventory (Use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) manuals, Use CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems), Contact and interact with approved vendors, Track and order spare parts and components). Interpret and review utility, process system/equipment, plumbing, ductwork, architectural and HVAC P&IDs (piping and instru
mentation diagrams), Read and comprehend system schematics, Review and change P&IDs or system schematics). Evaluate and optimize systems and components (Offer ideas for system improvements).

Comply with Environmental Regulations: Comply with EPA rules and regulations when disposing of waste products (Dispose of waste oils and refrigerants, Dispose of hazardous wastes).

Maintain Safety of Systems: Monitor and maintain confined space entries (Obtain required permits and authorization, Perform required air monitoring, Follow company specific procedures). Perform hot work procedures (Gather required equipment, Obtain required permits and authorization, Follow company-specific procedures). Conduct Lockout Tagout (Obtain required permits and authorization, Lock out and tag out all potential energies, Fill out forms and file according to procedures). Perform continual housekeeping (Maintain an orderly and clean working area)

People: Communicate with peers (Effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written forms). Interact with peers. (Interact constructively with peers and teams). Collaborate with peers

Information: Write clear and concise technical report using technical writing skills. Share information (Communicate job-related information with peers and other shifts using e-mail, logbooks, etc.). Obtain information required to perform work (Find any needed information that would be helpful with cause analysis and troubleshooting, Find information needed to order replacement components and parts)

Computer system skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Oracle Calendar, Emerson Delta V, Siemens BMS

Compensation 18 - 23 per hour plus shift diffential.

Paid Medical after 90 days.
