The Risk Consultant manages client service activities primarily in Texas and Louisiana. Activities include machinery breakdown new business surveys, machinery breakdown loss investigations, state and city statutory inspections of boiler and pressure vessel equipment, infrared inspections (if qualified) along with report processing, marketing and account coordination efforts. The individual will function as an integral part of a cohesive loss control service unit. The position requires the personal development of all client correspondence, service proposals and annual reviews. The ability to efficiently and effectively manage service scheduling, travel and budget are essential.

Qualified candidate should have knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for boilers and other pressure vessels. Knowledge of National and state boiler and pressure vessel regulatory codes. Past hands-on experience with boilers and other pressure vessels in a commercial/industrial setting a plus. Strong computer skills and the ability to perform analytical report writing using Microsoft word needed. If not already possessed, the qualified candidate must be willing to learn the skills necessary to conduct infrared themography. Other requirements include the ability to work independently from a telecommuting office, strong time management skills, and the ability to interact and effectively communicate with a wide range of customers. Candidates must hold a National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission. Other related certifications preferred.
