The Company:
EnergyLogic, located in Nashville, TN, is a rapidly growing manufacturer of a specialized line of industrial heaters and boiler products that burn used oil as its fuel source. This is an emerging technology that has experienced significant growth in recent years and will continue to expand at even greater rates. EnergyLogic has enjoyed growth rates much greater than the industry itself. Our industry leading technology has enabled us to patent all of our key system components. EnergyLogic products are marketed to the vehicle and equipment service sector of automotive, equipment, transportation, fleet operators, municipalities, etc… The products are primarily sold through distributors for the North American market.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Purchase all materials, components, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Meet or exceed budget targets for total inventory, inventory turns, and inventory losses.
• Establish a formal cycle counting program.
• Find new sources for existing products to assist in cost and lead time reduction and to meet seasonal production demand.
• Work with suppliers to optimize the quality, cost, and delivery equation.
• Aggressively track critical shipments and communicate results to manufacturing.
• Lead efforts to monitor inbound quality.
• Establish formal inventory controls for receiving, stock removal, and inventory adjustments.
• Implement a formal MRP system to be used in the production planning and buying process.

Requirements
• 3+ year track record of success working in purchasing and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Kan Ban management, lean manufacturing, or six sigma.
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and PC skills.
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to work in a normal industrial environment including the ability to operate a computer, as well as other office and industrial equipment. The ability to safely drive an automobile and to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Minimal travel by airplane, and automobile or other modes of public transportation.


Other Helpful Experience
Ability to set up global sourcing relationships.
Exposure to metal purchasing and fabrication.
