: I would think when all zone were open that one circulator just couldnt do it. Guess I did misunderstand. Long as each individual zone is less than 250 feet your ok. So it's not a pressure thing then? Circulator will push what it needs. Is there a limit to the amount of zones for 1 circulator in this same cituation? Long as everyone is less than 250 feet?

++ Depends on the pump chart. If the pump is able to pump the total gpm at the longest circuit length of all of them, So say there are four equal-length zones with radiation in them of 20,000 btuh in each (2 gpm @ 20F drop) then if the circulator at that gpm reading is capable of 8 gpm, the one circulator is enough.

If not able to provide 8 gpm with one circulator @ the required head pressure, then it requires another.
