So long as there is no voltage from those terminals to ground, there should be no more problem from clean contacts. It's just that the X terminals have better contact materials to protect against resistance when using millivolts. As the contacts age, they might cause some resistance to make operation in the millivolt circuit erratic in a few years.

The relay L.E.D. is on the N.O. terminal line between the N.O. terminal and the 2 or ground terminal; but so long as that ground terminal is on a proper white neutral line, that shouldn't be a problem of draining or overloading the millivolt power.
