: How does 125,000 compare with your current boiler? If it is nearly the same as your current boiler and it was doing the job (neither struggling to keep up or a constant service problem due to condensate, soot, etc because it is oversized) it is likely a good number. I had a survey come up with a number double for the current boiler that was working fine. I then had two more surveys that nearly matched and were close to the current 27 yo boiler which I’m told has had a long life. The last two surveyors measured everything including the radiators, flue duct size and run distance, windows and cathedral ceilings. The first guy counted the windows and asked me the number of square feet.
