I have a 1992 Heatmaker HW-M2 that has had a boiling problem most of it’s life. I’ve tried the vinegar fix with some success but now that doesn’t seem to touch it. I’ve resorted to increasing the water pressure to reduce the boiling but I’ve reached the limits of the relief valve and still experience boiling. I’m wondering about changing to standard Operating Control (contacts open at 210 deg. and close at 170 deg) to one with a lower temp range (maybe 200/160 deg.). Would anyone know of a source for such an item and has anyone done anything like this? Thanks -
