Sean - did you ever do the cost per unit of heat I suggested in your previous post? If you have, you should be able to figure the different paybacks between the 83% and 90+% efficient boiler options. Moreover, your system - as you describe it - would be an EXCELLENT application for a mod-con boiler. Lots of radiation (gravity system) and low loads (NC)would let you maximize condensing (= low return temps). I'm afraid you misunderstand the advantages of a mod-con.
