: Heatpro I understand that now, my purge valve is about 6 ft hight from the water fill in, straight up. If I open 1 loop and the purge valve, wont that create a siphon effect and actually make the water travel straight down the pipe thru the boiler around and out the purge then, and then not go straight up the pipe and out purge, even though it is only 6ft high?

++ Describe in 100 words or less why a siphon will occur without a siphon, or why a siphon effect has to happen. Frankly, I don't see the importance of a siphon, but that water goes in and out where you want it to when you close valves.

: And what is your opinion on these additives you can add to boilers to help keep inside clean? If you like them what one to you like the best?

++ I prefer the manufacturer's instructions to use NO chemicals, or to use the ones THEY rarely recommend. No use cleaning a system if it never has enough dirty feed water to fill it without leaks.
