There are other solutions, like software that uses techniques to misdirect and prevent spammer bots as in neilgunton, hidden field redirect, and three strikes. Bots can't click on url's. But this forum software prevents posts to tell you which ones work and doesn't allow explanations more than one 100 words most of the time. Better does exist.
