have an old american standard arcoliner steam boiler serial # 1bt-j2. currently fired w/ 1.25 80 degree A nozzle. cut in is set @ .5 lbs and cut out is 3 lbs. stat is set for relatively low temp 64. I know that I definately need to replace a couple of vents on the radiators, but I am more concerned with the firing. The relay clicks, burner fires, runs for about 2 min.cuts out. this continues for a couple of cycles until the stat is satisfied. sometimes the relay "sputters" clicking rapidly at end of a cycle. I remember years ago, this boiler seemed to run at a higher, radiators were alot noisier and you could hear the vents whistling. what is my problem?
