Hello, I had my Weil Maclain boiler fail this morning. Its only 5 years old, standing pilot, @ 100,000 btu with a grundfos pump.

Service tech came out replaced the thermocouple and cleaned the tubes where the gas shoots into, drained the expansion tank, and filled with fresh water.

My question is, after $232.00, are these thermocouples oem for Weil Maclain, or can I get them at a local home depot? Are there milli-volt ratings I need to look out for?

My final question is after the tech fired up the boiler, it was getting too much water pressure, and he did something to an adjustment screw on top of my B&G reducing valve . Why would he have to do this if its factory set at 12 lbs?
