I have a multi zone hot water heating system which utilizes the Honeywell V8043E1012 zone valves. The problem I am having is that when the zone valves close the pipes rattle. The Pluming contractor is suggesting removing one the springs in the zone valve. This will slow down the closing of the valve and he feels will fix the problem.
Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
