(a) The black hot 110 volt wire is on L1 and its neutral is on L2. (b) The circ pump black wire is on N.O. and its neutral is tied to L2, and (c) I wired a jumper wire from L1 to COM. Apparently the relay will connect the N.O. to the COM to turn the circ pump on. OK so far?
+++ The 120V power hot will go from L1 to the COM and through the NO contacts when they close on to the circulator black wire, so that's OK.

The wiring diagram for the relay is at:

More ordinarily, a zone valve has an end switch that activates the RA889A at R(T) W(T), turning the zone circulator on and the X1 X2 terminals are used to fire the boiler. Wirsbo Uponor Zone valves have the 4-wires to do that. Look at the RA889A relay wiring diagram to see how that's done.
