Have a UTICA boiler, SPH 31005, steam 15PSI (approx 5-8 years old).
This past week it has shut off numerous times due to low water. When I check it, because of NO HEAT in the house, there is NO water in the "tube". Had to fill it last night and again this morning, and then AGAIN at lunchtime today.
No signs of any leaks... when it runs, it runs well. Have a 1200 sf two floor house (1920's) with 7 radiators (Manchester,CT).
Does this sound like I need to replace it, or just repair it? How much would either of these cost? I'd like to know what lies ahead (UGH).
