Hard to tell from here. Have you priced what your worth to the company you work for would be to take time to go to the plumbing supply, get a piece of pipe, cut it, thread it, use the threading machine and dies (portion of the price of owning it, bringing it to the job on the truck, assembling it, cutting, threading, disassembling it, replacing it on the trunk, the truck rental, gas, maintenance, insurance.) If you can figure that worth, perhaps including the time to learn how to use it, insurance, etc. you can come up with a comparison.

Of course an illegal who stole all that and did it for you might be cheaper. If you had no vacation, retirement fund, medical care, guaranteed hours of work - you might feel you'd have to charge for it.
