Since you say you have a boiler I assume you have a
steam system.
When the boiler is running are the pipes in
the basement and the radiators getting HOT?
What is the temperature on the thermostat
reading? Is it calling for heat?
Have you done routine maintenance?
What is the level of water in the
boiler site glass?
