A constant ignition is not the same as an interrupted, You more likely won't notice a difference when using the constant ignition; as constant ignition is often used as a fix when interrupted ignitions allow rumbles to occur. Otherwise the control is the same.

It is a matter of whether you want the original that came with the burner or not.
