+++ Yes, it is a problem frequently heard by manufacturers after they used new casting methods and could reduce the internal water volume of their boilers; so they came up with ways of adding tanks to extend the water line (add the water volume back) or recommend installing a condensate pumpset (thus increasing replacement cost.)
can the burners on boilers be adjusted, or lowered??
+++ Not on gas strip boilers, the extra secondary air mix with the fuel dampens the fuel efficiency. Power burners, yes.
boiler is 225,000btu house is 2 levels, property size is about 25x60, build in 1930's
