The problem is that someone might have put some ammonia in your radiators, or a sealant in there that smells like it. There is no way that a heating system makes ammonia inside radiators. If it is a steam or hot water system, any sealant you put inside will clog it up to stop working. If the smell really is inside the system, then you need to clean the water out with plain water.
